Alternatively spliced variants have been described but their biological validity has not been determined. Members of this family contain the consensus sequence for the active site of protein tyrosine phosphatases. The MTMR1 gene shares structural similarities with the MTM1 gene, and is also located in the same chromosomal region. Myotubularin related proteins are肌微管素相关蛋白1抗体 a large subfamily of protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) that dephosphorylate D3 phosphorylated inositol lipids. MTMR1 is a lipid phosphatase that acts on phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol (3,5)-bisphosphate.
