This enzyme is involved in the posttranscriptional methylation of internal adenosine residues in eukaryotic mRNAs, forming N6-methyladenosine. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] Function: N6-methyltransferase that methylates adenosine residues of some mRNAs.
